  1. Introduce Progress Invoicing

    Be able to bill out fractions or amounts of a Job or Project to an Invoice.

    While we are looking at this feature, workarounds currently include:

    1. You can use the Balance Forward Statement to show the original invoice, any payments made, and the remaining balance. The steps are given in knowledgebase article:

    2. You can create a separate invoice for each stage of the job. These invoices can be created in advance to equal the total amount of the job by using a recurring template.

    • Automatic Invoice Due Reminder

      Automatic Invoice Due Reminders would help receive payments on time. Once an invoice is sent, QuickBooks would automatically send a reminder (your invoice is due soon) to the client a couple of days before it is due.

        Dear Sir or Madam,

        Why is the "customer type" feature missing in Quickbooks Online? It is such a basic feature that I'm shocked to hear that you forgot to include it in the Online version! I'm considering cancelling my subscription. The ability to categorize customers is so basic, and with your "location" and "class" function it just cannot be done. As your support staff explained to me, these features only allow to categorize transactions, not customers. But I need to run reports for certain customer groups, and I certainly do not want with hassle of selecting a "location" or "class"…

        • split direct deposit payroll

          Payroll has an option to direct deposit into two accounts (checking & savings), but that causes problems in matching the bank download. Payroll creates one transaction but the bank has two. Won't match.

          • Fully integrate with PayPal

            Although there is rudimentary integration with PayPal, the details of the transaction are lost. PayPal provides line-item information about items bought or sold. I currently have to manually alter each PayPal transaction to re-enter the line items, and more importantly, to separate out the postage (since postage isn't taxable in Massachusetts).

              • NEED to VIEW STATEMENTS UNDER SHOW TRANSACTIONS

                Need to EASILY VIEW old and new STATEMENTS. What was once a ONE step after choosing a customer is now a SEVEN step process.This is STRESSFUL and FRUSTRATING. After crying on Monday and starting all over agin on Tuesday I called Customer Service Only to find out that to view statements you Now need to 1.) Choose REPORTS, 2.) Choose STATEMENTS, 3.) Choose a date range, 4.) Choose all customers or one, 5.) Run report, 6.) Choose ALPH, 7.) Scroll down and choose the customer. PLEASE give us back the function to view all statements possibly under the SHOW TRANSACTIONS…

                  In register the account field cannot find sub-categories. You have to select the parent and the choose the sub. Would be nice to eliminate this extra step.
