      You have left! (?) (thinking…)

Thank you so much for your feedback on sales form customization in QuickBooks. We acknowledge that we have a ways to go, but we’ve staffed this feature and are making headway.

Right now, we have two versions of form customization running in parallel. In our newest one, we just released a beta of style import, wherein you can bring any *.docx based invoice template and use it in QuickBooks. You may access this feature by going to the gear, then clicking “QuickBooks Labs” > “Import Style.” Not on this version? We are moving people every month and enabling you to keep your old form too! Your default will change to start, but you can always revert to a frozen version of your old form without editing capabilities if you’d like.

Lately we’ve been working on the print infrastructure to ensure you can print larger batches and render PDFs faster, invoice…

      Rob commented  ·

I would say run while you can and don't look back.
Those of us that held on hoping for change have not received any in years......

      Rob commented  ·

It has been like this for years and Intuit would rather take our money each month and not provide any worthwhile updates.....

Unless everyone calls in repeatedly to express our dissatisfaction with the product nothing will ever change.

So it would seem they had at least one person on it. Maybe it was only for a day?

      Rob commented  ·

Honestly, the vast majority of us are stuck since we've waited so long hoping there will be change. Years have passed and they continue to take our money but provide no useful updates....

Do yourself a favor and leave early and don't look back.
Wish someone gave me this advice years ago.

      Rob commented  ·

      They never read these.
The last response we saw was 7/02/15.
Don't know why people even bother (me for that matter) taking the time to post.

If you want real change, you'll have to call in and complain.
If, IF everyone here did that and threatened to leave QBO then and only then would we see any changes.......

      Rob commented  ·

You must be using something other than QBO, because it took me many hours over a couple of days to get anything worth using. Even then, parts are screwed up and I end up using the default forms.
Nobody has any luck with these it would seem.

      Rob commented  ·

      It's no use.
Most of these people come here once and then don't subscribe to the thread. They probably don't even read the previous posts.
My state will be supported with Xero by the end of the year and I am jumping ship and waving with three fingers.
Read between the lines Intuit !

      Rob commented  ·

      I'll second that.

      Rob commented  ·

I get the impression that most people make a comment on this and then assume it will be read. They don't book mark it or check off to be notified for new posts.
Hopefully someone will read this prior to posting and actually call and call and call to get any type of satisfaction and actually be heard! If enough people call in with their issues maybe, just maybe there will be some much needed improvement. Until then all your typing will fall on deaf ears.

      Rob commented  ·

Quite honestly you need to call in and complain. In fact everyone that has posted here should. If they had 4,600 people call in we might see some sort of progress.

Just look at all the posts from people on here and they are the ones that actually KNOW about this web page. It is not moderated or looked at whatsoever.
      Pretty sad.

      Rob commented  ·

QB support, we have been reporting our issues. At last count there are approx FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY FIVE of them.

Those are from people that know about this particular web page. Imagine if everybody that used QB online knew of this...... You would probably have hundreds of thousands of posts.

      Rob commented  ·

They don't care about their lack of basic functionality. Or any of the comments we have trying to improve their product. If they did, it would be fixed by now. It's been years now and still the same. Really wish I never left the desktop version. The whole reason f migrating to the mobile platform was to be mobile. Still end up using this on the PC.......

      Rob commented  ·

Intuit is great at taking your monthly fee and not giving any usable updates. I would of liked to see this too, but with the way things have been going with them over the years I don't see this happening.
They have this feedback feature, but don't moderate it or look at it. Or, the person that does is from some foreign call center and can't read English..... Sad but true.

      Rob commented  ·

Your not going to get any response or action from them regarding this. They are going to still collect your money and give nothing but useless updates in return. Nothing added to this date has been useful to me.
My invoices look like crap since I switched from desktop a year ago and will continue to look like that till the end of the year when I can switch to another company.

Why would anyone want a quickbooks tshirt? I'd use it to wipe my ass.
      Good riddance!

      Rob commented  ·

They are too big for their britches and don't care.
Celebrities promoting their product. I mean what could they possibly know about running a business? They have people do it for them...... You seriously think they are using QBO?
It's kind of sad. They will wake up one day and realize all their customers went to Xero.

      Rob commented  ·

Tried the app and it kept randomly telling me that I didn't have an Internet connection. Then it wouldn't close out and I had to reboot. That happened twice.
Suppose to be faster than using the website...... Yeah when it takes 10 seconds to load each time you click on it to maximize?
Year end can't come fast enough!!! Can't wait for Xero.

      Rob commented  ·

There is no functionality for groups or assemblies with QBO. It is very limited and it's been years and the basic needs such as this still go unanswered.

      Rob commented  ·

They are more interested in creating apps and other things than focusing on the the core product. Nothing is going to take them from their present course unless they have no customers left to pay their salaries.
      Pretty sad.

      Rob commented  ·

Yep just as I suspected. The comment for the new update with the link has been thrown out.....
It was not derogatory or harmful in any way. It just stated the facts.
      Xero here I come!

      Rob commented  ·

Another update today, but nothing regarding this......
I guess they figure it is acceptable the way it is.

Find it funny how they have all these TV celebrities endorsing their product. What invoicing and estimating do they have to do?

A link to this page was placed in the comments section of the new update, but I bet it has been thrown out.

      Rob commented  ·

You basically have till the end of the year to make things right with the forms or I will be moving away from Intuit products entirely.
I'm sure that holds true with most of the people that find the basic functionality (form templates) of the program is not there.
Bottom line is we want our forms to look good as it is a reflection of our businesses.

      Rob commented  ·

You have to start from scratch.
They have not made this an easy thing to do, believe me. I have spent countless hours trying to get something worth using.
Do just as much estimating as I do invoicing, so the customer sees the crappy estimate forms first....... Makes no sense.
I still use the desktop estimates honestly and then having to double enter info into QBO to invoice on that estimate.

      Rob commented  ·

I seriously think that if more people knew about this feedback forum there would be a ton more complaints.
What Intuit needs to do is send notifications like they do when there is an update asking for feedback (this topic in particular).

Not even a peep from the mods about this which means it hasn't been looked at or they just don't care. I think the latter.

      Rob commented  ·

Honestly, for as low as $20/mo?
How about you pay it for me and the rest of us...
I have paid Intuit unbelievable amounts of money for their sub par products and foreign based call center support that you can't understand. I know the rest of you have undergone the same experience.
Passed from one person to the next with nothing resolved..... Wasting countless hours on the phone. Only to think that maybe something will get solved, only to get back on the phone and try it again. Maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment or maybe there was nothing else available till just recently to organize my books.
I thought this product was suppose to be a time SAVER, not consume time and infuriate me in the process.
Intuit should give out blood pressure meds and they should pay ME to use their dam product!
Add it up Mr. Method CRM
Between QBO and payroll it's $70/mo for me.
      What's another $20?

Xero will have payroll for my state soon enough and I will be happy to give them my money/business for $30/mo without the headaches of Intuit.

      Rob commented  ·

You will receive an email from yourfriend@intuit.com letting you know this feature has been activated.
To check, you can go to the gear>custom form styles and then click the drop down that says new style which would read "import" right under it.
Maybe someone else will have better luck with it than me, but I'm very doubtful.

      Rob commented  ·

Had someone from Intuit contact me this week about my disgust with the forms templates. They said this is an area that they are JUST NOW starting to address......
I was offered help to correct the docx. issues I was having after countless hours of modifying the doc and trying it.
It has now taken a half dozen attempts by the Intuit employee to fix the problem and it's still not fixed.
Ok, so if the employee from intuit can't even do it HOW THE HELL ARE WE SUPPOSE TO DO IT!
I consider myself as pretty well versed on Word docs as I had set them up to populate customer info into PDF forms converted to Word docs through the desktop version. How is anyone not familiar with Word going to even attempt this docx. forms template?

      Rob commented  ·

Honestly I don't think they look at these posts or someone is just outright ignoring them.
I suggest we bombard them with phone calls. Like we all don't have better things to do........ Like TRYING TO RUN OUR BUSINESSES!

      Rob commented  ·

The Docx. solution is a joke.
I have spent hours setting this up only to get to the last screen every friggin time and have the bottom of the invoice missing.....
I've followed all of their suggestions and emailed help a few times with no response to date.
Cmon Intuit, throw us a bone here!
Give us something we can actually use that is acceptable to send customers.
None of these forms are acceptable and as a previous poster mentioned it looks like a child made.
Will be switching to Xero once they have payroll for my state and I won't look back!

I find it funny how all the responses I have made to blog posts about updates have not been posted. It's only the people that say "Thanks sooo much for this, blah, blah, blah...."
Give it a try if you don't believe me. It's discrimination at its finest.

I can totally see why they would want to reflect a positive image, but come on now.
A little constructive criticism never hurt anybody. It makes us strive to be better. Nobody's perfect, especially Intuit.

      Rob commented  ·

      Re: Method CRM
Why would we pay for an add on when forms customization should be standard.

Would be nice to get a response from the developers on the status of their update.
IF it ever happens. Definitely not holding my breath.
I will certainly be looking elsewhere if by the end of the year there is still no change.

      Rob commented  ·

How about an update on the update?

Lots of people here waiting for changes to make QBO presentable.

      Rob commented  ·

You need to listen to your customers regarding the most basic functionality which is the ability to invoice and estimate they way we have always done. Most of us are moving from desktop to QBO and it is quite shocking that the basic functionality is STILL lacking from a few years back.
If you can't listen to the most basic necessity then your customers will gravitate to someone that does.

Oh yeah, and don't forget to add sub totals while your at it. Basic, basic, basic

They continue to take our monthly fees, but give us crap for updates.......
        Years later it still continues.

        Rob commented  ·

Knowone from intuit reads these or cares about their customers. All they are concerned with is receiving their monthly fees from us and showing a profit for their shareholders.

They are more interested in taking our monthly payments and giving us lackluster updates and a chance for a free tee shirt........Nothing that is worthwhile has been attempted, nor do they even look at these suggestions or complaints.

Any kind of update feedback they moderate heavily. Those that don't like the things that are done are selectively not posted.
