I have received conflicting information regarding direct deposit for 1099 vendors. In the QuickBooks Online Certification and Bootcamp yesterday, the trainer said paying 1099 vendors by direct deposit was available. Today I am told it is available thru Intuit Online Payroll, but not QuickBooks Online Payroll. I don't understand what the holdup would be if the technology is already in-place with Intuit. Clients are used to having this service through Desktop so making it available in QBO is a no brainer. Please..

Knowone from intuit reads these or cares about their customers. All they are concerned with is receiving their monthly fees from us and showing a profit for their shareholders.

Do the 1099s. ASAP. I would give this 100K votes. Why are you pushing an inferior, limited, cumbersome product to replace one that is vastly superior. Is online technonlgy and code so weak that you cant simply replicate QB Desktop?

Hey quickbooks online! Its now 2017 and the year of the rooster has just started. When will we have direct deposits for 1099 vendors?

Please let us pay vendors via ACH. I was shocked that this can't already be done. Ever bank across the country can do this but then you have to manually reconcile your QB account.

Is this something being worked on? It's a big enough deal that I might have to switch software.

We'd really like the ability to pay vendors via ACH. Seems like this should already be available.

I don't know if this person meant through payroll. You wouldn't pay an independent contractor through payroll. I think they meant through direct deposit. And yes, it is WAY past time for QBO to get current and offer this simple feature (everyone offers online payments; it can't be rocket science here!). QB Desktop offers it. Maybe since the QBO techs can't figure it out, they should ask their colleagues for help.

We have a few 1099 contractors and one employee, and use Quickbooks Online payroll to pay the employee by direct deposit, but it would be VERY helpful if we could pay our contractors by direct deposit as well, instead of writing checks for them. I know there are other companies out there that would love this feature also. PLEASE take this under consideration and include it in a near future update! Thank you!

More and more companies are preferring to use ACH method of payment vs issuing checks. Please add this feature to the Vendor details information page so that we can download and upload the information to our bank. Issuing checks is time consuming and not eco-friendly. Please upgrade your systems to allow for ACH payments. Thank you!

Any updates on if this is being taken into consideration? Just voted for it as well. Would be quite the time saver.
