    Customize invoice and sales form template top suggestions:

    Add custom fields on sales forms with filter options on reports
    Allow font size to be changed
    Add ability to import custom templates from QuickBooks Desktop
    Custom width and height sizing of columns and rows
    Increase character limit in sales form fields
    Modify logo appearance on forms
    Full visual edit and customization options for creating sales forms

      Thank you so much for your feedback on sales form customization in QuickBooks. We acknowledge that we have a ways to go, but we’ve staffed this feature and are making headway.

      Right now, we have two versions of form customization running in parallel. In our newest one, we just released a beta of style import, wherein you can bring any *.docx based invoice template and use it in QuickBooks. You may access this feature by going to the gear, then clicking “QuickBooks Labs” > “Import Style.” Not on this version? We are moving people every month and enabling you to keep your old form too! Your default will change to start, but you can always revert to a frozen version of your old form without editing capabilities if you’d like.

      Lately we’ve been working on the print infrastructure to ensure you can print larger batches and render PDFs faster, invoice…

    • Introduce Progress Invoicing

      Be able to bill out fractions or amounts of a Job or Project to an Invoice.

      While we are looking at this feature, workarounds currently include:

      1. You can use the Balance Forward Statement to show the original invoice, any payments made, and the remaining balance. The steps are given in knowledgebase article:

      2. You can create a separate invoice for each stage of the job. These invoices can be created in advance to equal the total amount of the job by using a recurring template.

        • QBO Needs a Downloadable Backup and Restore!

          We just found out that Intuit does not keep backups of our accounting data online so that we could not restore our company to a previous point like we used to be able to do in the desktop version. We find this unacceptable and at this time we would not recommend QBO to anybody based on this major flaw.
          These are only a few reasons why restoring to a previous point may be necessary:
          1) Angry employee changes/deletes transactions maliciously before quitting
          2) New bookkeeper decides to rename all the accounts to a system they like but that confuses the…

          • Make the user rights more flexible and customizable

            more flexibility for users would help my company. I am a small business owner and need to concentrate on administrative; book keeping matters. I would love to have our staff have access to our vendor information without having access to the register or have the ability to write checks. This would enable me to hand off vendor invoices for entry and free my time considerably. Unfortunately your on-line version is quite limited. We used your contractor edition software years ago and found those user features worked quite well.

              EVERYONE wants / needs this. Why is this not done yet... Also make it so we don't need to interact with it. Its so much easier just being able to tell a customer "Well, the computer did it." It would also help remove favoritism. I have a tendency to overlook some accounts for the people that I like.

              • Allow us to scroll through the entire check register, not page by page

                Everything about QB Online should simplify our work experience, not add more steps or time delays in doing data entry. Please take away the restricted limitations in things such as scrolling through the check register. Having to click on the page button is one more thing that makes me extremely frustrated while using this version.

                      It would be nice to have a customizable dashboard homepage where actual users get to pick what they need to see and which navigation buttons they use the most to the homepage screen. At this point, it's Intuit hard-wired homepage dashboard even on privacy mode. Many business owners saying when they're sitting next to their customers and creating transactions, they're not interested in sharing profit or loss, expenses, bank accounts, income, and sales chart.

                        Payment plans are common ways for consumers and business to make purchases. Payment plans are different than recurring invoices or sales receipts because payment plans have Original Purchase (total sale), less payment, to track current balances. Payments have due dates and my charge interest or fees if late.

                        What we need is …

                        1. Set Up Like a Loan - the ability to set up a payment plan that works like a loan that has a declining balance as payments are made

                        2. Automate Monthly Payments - send monthly invoices for client to pay or automatic credit card payment options…

                        • Add Litecoin as a currency

                          It's good that QBO has already listed Bitcoin (BTC) as a currency.

                          Hope you guys can add another cryptocurrency named Litecoin (https://litecoin.org). Litecoin is a well established cryptocurrency similar to Bitcoin released in 2011, only two years after Bitcoin.

                          Or even better, let users add new currency symbols themselves because there are many other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Litecoin.

                              We are a shop that has wholesale/retail price levels. The default price when editing an item is retail. To edit the wholesale price, currently I have to go to Lists -> Price Level List. I then open our custom wholesale price level, where I have to MANUALLY SCROLL through EVERY SINGLE ITEM, active or inactive, to find the item whose wholesale price I want to edit. We have thousands of inventory items. Calculating wholesale prices on a flat % rate over cost or under retail is not an option for us.

                                  Automatic Invoice Due Reminders would help receive payments on time. Once an invoice is sent, QuickBooks would automatically send a reminder (your invoice is due soon) to the client a couple of days before it is due.

                                      • Fix currency exchange rate matching

                                        Currency exchange rates can't be correctly entered in between high denomination currencies and low denomination currencies.

                                        I am having problems in between IDR and HKD. None of those transactions can be matched because your exchange rate does not contain enough decimals.

                                        As a results I can't:
                                        - Enter costs correctly
                                        - Match transfers
                                        - Consolidate accounts
                                        - Close accounts
                                        - Create correct reporting
